Systems Change for Health
| Systems Change for Health competency-based training program was developed recognizing that health problems are influenced by policies and environments that either sustain healthy behaviors or fail to support them. Major public health problems will not be solved solely by individual actions, but by coming together to forge a society where healthy choices are easy and popular. Get more information on trainings.

| | Building the capacity of public health organizations to influence systems and environmental change on a population basis requires that they work collaboratively with major institutions such as schools and workplaces. DHPE can help states and communities work more effectively with the schools in their jurisdictions to improve the health and safety of both the students and of those who work in schools through our School Employee Wellness program. |
| | DHPE provides a voice for members through funding priorities which include preserving and fully funding the Prevention and Public Health Fund, with emphasis on Community Transformation Grants, maintaining and increasing funds for State CDC supported Coordinated Chronic Disease Grants, and assuring funding integrity of the Preventive Health and Health Services Block Grant.
