Community Market Analyses Project

Using of Market Research Technologies to Design Effective Public Health Interventions

Building capacity of the public health workforce to eliminate health inequities and health disparities is imperative. State and territorial health agencies play a vital role in protecting the health of millions of citizens and ensuring health equity. These agencies are strategically placed to develop, implement, and sustain comprehensive population-based interventions that can protect health, including the elimination of health disparities and health inequities. However, most of these agencies do not have data sources and/or technology to understand the interplay of social, economic or environmental dynamics that drive and determine health outcomes. Through the Community Market Analyses Project DHPE provides awarded states and tribal centers across the country access to training, market research data, analytic tools, and geographic information system technology. With these tools, state and territorial agencies will be able to understand the constant changing dynamics of environments so that public health interventions are successful.
